![]() After a hiatus from school due to health and financial reasons, it took the pandemic to put things into perspective and remind me of what I truly value and enjoy in life: my education. Sophomore: After two semesters at PC I can say that I am EXTREMELY happy about choosing this community college as my reentrance into college life as an "adult learner". Overall, I’ve loved my experience at Yavapai.Īdvice for a good experience- ask for help, take classes you enjoy, and have fun. The campus size was perfect to me as an “late” college student. The library is my favorite place, they have an outdoor portion and in doors there are many private study rooms and cozy bean bags. Other than the academics, the campus is beautiful. The success, knowledge and support I gained & received at Yavapai has gotten me letters from Ivy League schools urging me to apply! I never imagined I’d be here today in my academic journey. There are a lot of opportunities to build leadership skills and overall confidence, which I gained from the classes and groups I’m a part of. The professors and supporting faculty want you to succeed. The support you get at Yavapai is unbelievable. Sophomore: As a student enrolling in college after 6 years, Yavapai College was the perfect place for me to regain my footing in education. Of course, there's always at least one or two professors that will be difficult, but most were great to have!. ![]() I felt assured by them and my professors were accommodating when I talked to them about it. Classes and home life tend to be stressful for me, but having access to professionals in counseling that I could meet with for free was a blessing to me. He made sure I was on the right track and everything has gone through correctly. My academic advisor was thorough and replied to my messages quickly. My last two semesters there were a bit confusing and I was having difficulty figuring out what classes I needed to sign up for so that I could properly transfer my credits to the graduate school I chose. When deciding on a degree path, the advisors are excellent at helping you get on track. The classes are affordable, the campus is easy to navigate, and the professors are usually pretty great. Sophomore: PVCC is a great school to start your college journey.
